Terms of Service

The terms governing your use of FixImage — accounts, credits, ownership of the photos you upload and the edits you make, and acceptable use
What these Terms cover
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of FixImage, an online service for fixing, retouching and editing photos, available at fiximage.net. By creating an account or using FixImage, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
What FixImage does
FixImage offers two kinds of tools. AI photo tools edit a photo you upload, for example to retouch a portrait or to change the text, numbers or dates shown in an image; some apply built-in instructions and others follow the edit you describe. Free image tools repair, straighten, scan or outline a picture and do not use credits. Available tools, inputs, settings and models depend on the tool you choose and your plan. AI edits are performed using third-party AI models operated by outside providers, not by FixImage itself.
Who can use FixImage
You create an account by signing in with Google. You must provide accurate information via that sign-in process and are responsible for keeping your Google account secure, since it controls access to your FixImage account.
You must be at least 18 to buy credits or take out a subscription. If you are under 18, you may use FixImage only with the permission and supervision of a parent or guardian, and they must make any purchase. FixImage is not intended for anyone under 13.
Credits, pricing, and subscriptions
Using FixImage's AI photo tools costs credits; the free image tools do not. You can obtain credits by:
- Receiving free credits when you sign up, check in daily or invite someone.
- Buying a one-time credit pack. While a Standard or Pro yearly plan is active, a pack also includes yearly member bonus credits; the bonus is set when you start checkout and shown on the checkout page.
- Subscribing to a monthly or yearly plan, which grants credits monthly. Yearly plan cards show the full year’s credit total, delivered in 12 monthly grants rather than all at once.
Limited-time offers. We sometimes run offers that add bonus credits for a set period, shown on the pricing page and on the offer page. During a double-credit offer such as Black Friday 2026, a newly started monthly plan gets double credits in its first month and a newly started yearly plan gets double credits for its first year, with the extra year of credits added on the day of payment. Renewals and plan changes use the plan's usual credits. During the offer, credit packs come with double credits in place of the yearly member bonus and can be bought only by members with an active subscription. Whether a checkout includes offer credits is set when the checkout starts and shown on the checkout page. Offer credits are paid credits and follow the same rules as the credits they come with.
Paid credits. Paid credits from every plan and credit pack, including yearly member bonus credits and offer bonus credits, never expire. This includes every monthly grant of a yearly plan. Unused paid credits roll over and stay in your balance after you cancel, and while you hold them they continue to work on paid models and paid settings. Credits that have already expired are not reinstated.
Free credits. Free credits follow their own schedule: the sign-up gift and invitation rewards expire 30 days after they are granted, no-sign-up trial credits can be used on AI image tools and expire 48 hours after they are granted, and daily check-in rewards never expire. When you create an account in the browser where you used the no-sign-up trial, any unused trial credits end, and eligible new accounts receive the sign-up gift instead. Trial credits granted before the date of these Terms follow the rules that applied when they were granted. Check-ins stop adding credits while your free balance of check-in, sign-up and trial credits is at the published cap. Expired free credits are not reinstated, and free credits have no cash value.
Fair use of free rewards. Free credits and rewards, including the sign-up gift, the no-sign-up trial, daily check-ins and invitation rewards, are offered for genuine individual use, one account per person, and are subject to our fair-use policy. If our systems detect abuse, such as multiple or linked accounts, automated sign-ups or other attempts to obtain rewards unfairly, we may decline, withhold or remove free credits without notice, and we may warn you, limit features, or suspend or terminate the accounts involved. FixImage decides eligibility for free rewards and how this policy applies, and reserves the right of final interpretation of free rewards and this policy to the extent permitted by law. If you believe a decision is wrong, contact support.
Credits that expire soonest are used first, then free credits that never expire, and paid credits that never expire are used last. Prices for credit packs and subscriptions are shown at checkout and may change going forward — if we change pricing, it will apply to future purchases or renewals, not to credits you have already bought.
Renewal and cancellation
A subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel it. You can cancel at any time from your billing settings, which open the Stripe billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for: your plan stays active until then, and a yearly plan keeps delivering its monthly grants until its prepaid year ends. Cancelling does not by itself refund a payment.
Refunds
Our Refund Policy sets out the full rules. In summary:
- 7-day rule. Each payment (a first subscription payment, a renewal, or a credit pack) can be refunded once if your request reaches us within 7 days of the payment and the credits used since that payment are no more than 10% of the credits it covers. For a credit pack that is the pack, including any yearly member or offer bonus credits; for a monthly payment, that month's credits, including any offer bonus credits; for a yearly payment, one month's credits, and for the first yearly payment made during a double-credit offer that month's grant includes the extra credits added on the day of payment. Usage includes credits from every source, including reward credits; credits returned automatically after failed AI edits do not count. An approved refund is 90% of the amount paid, with the other 10% covering payment processing.
- Requests by email only. Refunds are not available through self-service. Email our support address (see the contact page) from your account address with the subject "Refund Request". We reply within 5 business days, and approved refunds reach your original payment method within 5–10 business days.
- Mistaken charges. Duplicate or mistaken charges are refunded in full once verified. Charges for upgrading partway through a period are reviewed individually, as are yearly payments for a plan period in which a credit pack checkout with yearly member bonus credits was started or completed, and, during a double-credit offer, monthly or yearly payments for a plan period in which a double-credit pack checkout was started or completed, even if that pack was later refunded.
- Effect of a refund. A refunded subscription ends immediately and the credits remaining from that payment, including any offer bonus credits, are removed. A refunded credit pack loses its remaining credits, including its yearly member or offer bonus credits, and the paid benefits it provided; for a partial refund, credits are removed in proportion to the amount refunded.
- Not refundable. Free and reward credits; requests outside these rules, except where the law requires a refund; payments already under dispute; and accounts involved in fraud or abuse or terminated for breaching these Terms.
If an AI edit fails because of a technical problem at FixImage or at an AI model provider, the credits held for that attempt are released back to your balance automatically. A completed AI edit consumes credits even if you would have liked a different result, since AI output is variable by nature.
Nothing in these Terms affects the statutory rights you have as a consumer.
Payment disputes
If you think a charge is wrong, please contact us before raising a dispute or chargeback with your bank. While a dispute is open, the credits from the disputed payment are removed or suspended along with the paid features it unlocked. If the dispute is resolved in FixImage's favour, we review the payment and restore the eligible credits and access; if it is resolved in your favour, the payment is treated as fully refunded. If a payment is refunded or reversed in any other way, FixImage reverses the credits that payment granted.
Payment processing
Payments are handled by third-party payment processors. FixImage does not see or store your full card number — that data goes directly to the payment processor. Your use of these payment services is also subject to that provider's own terms.
Who owns what
You retain your rights in the photos and other content you upload. You also own the images FixImage creates or edits for you to the extent permitted by applicable law, subject to the rights of any underlying content you did not create yourself (see "Acceptable use" below).
To operate the service, you grant FixImage a limited licence to store, process, and transmit your submitted content, including the photos you upload and any instructions you enter — including sending the necessary inputs and results to third-party AI model and content safety providers to make your edits and enforce our content standards — and to display your uploads and results back to you in your account. This licence exists only to run the service for you. FixImage does not use your uploads or results for advertising or marketing purposes, and does not grant itself any broader licence to your content, except for content that is public as described below.
Public results and reviews. Results made on the free plan, including with no-sign-up trial credits, are public. With a subscription or credit pack you can keep a result private or choose to make it public. For a public result, or a review you submit, you grant FixImage a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, display and distribute that result or review — together with any prompt and the nickname, name or role you chose to show — on the FixImage website, for as long as it stays public. Every public item is reviewed by our team before it is shown, and FixImage may decline or remove any public item at its discretion. While a result is shown, any visitor can view it and may save a copy of it. You can withdraw a public result at any time by deleting it from your asset library or by contacting us; the licence then ends, apart from copies that browsers or our content delivery network may keep for up to 5 minutes. Withdrawing cannot recall copies that visitors saved while the result was shown. To remove a published review, contact us.
Acceptable use
FixImage strictly prohibits adult/NSFW content and other harmful or unlawful uses. These restrictions apply to prompts and instructions, uploaded images, results, and content shared through the service. They apply to both real and fictional subjects, including AI-generated and illustrated content.
You must not use FixImage to:
- Create, upload or distribute pornography, explicit sexual activity, sexualized nudity or other sexually explicit or exploitative content.
- Create or promote child sexual abuse material or the sexual exploitation of anyone under 18. This includes fictional or AI-generated depictions and attempts to evade safety checks.
- Produce non-consensual intimate imagery, pornographic deepfakes, or intimate or defamatory depictions of identifiable people without their explicit consent.
- Promote terrorism, incite violence, glorify extreme violence or gore, or encourage self-harm. Context matters: a legitimate educational or news discussion is different from encouragement or instructions to cause harm.
- Promote hatred, discrimination or violence against a protected group, or use content to harass, stalk, bully or threaten a person.
- Conduct fraud, phishing or impersonation, distribute malware or malicious links, or intentionally create deceptive content likely to cause public harm.
- Alter or fabricate identity documents, bank statements, payment confirmations, receipts or invoice amounts, or medical, legal or government documents, or present an edited image as evidence, proof of payment or grounds for a reimbursement or claim. The text, number, date and screenshot editing tools decline these images automatically, and accounts that misuse edited images are handled under the enforcement rules below.
- Infringe another person's copyright, trademark or other rights. You must have the rights and permissions required for the material you upload and the way you use the result.
- Upload another identifiable person's image without their consent, or publicly share content showing an identifiable person without their consent. Public submissions showing minors are not accepted.
- Bypass our content safety checks, gain unauthorized access to systems or accounts, disrupt the service, or use unauthorized automation, scraping or resale.
- Use the service for an unlawful purpose, including activity that violates applicable sanctions or export-control requirements.
Content safety policy
Real-time automated screening
Content safety checks begin when you submit an AI edit and run again before results can be delivered. We filter text prompts and instructions and use AI-powered checks for images. Checks cover adult/NSFW content and other supported harmful-content categories, such as violence, hate, harassment and self-harm, together with additional screening for observable malicious intent. A request or result that is blocked, or whose required checks cannot be completed, is not made available.
Automated systems can make mistakes or miss harmful content. Automated screening does not establish a person's age, consent, ownership rights or the truth of a claim. You remain responsible for complying with these Terms.
Manual review and reporting
Our team may manually review suspected violations, public submissions and reports, and may ask for context or evidence of consent or usage rights. If you believe content violates these Terms, or that a content safety check made a mistake, contact us with the relevant request details. We assess reports and decide what action is appropriate; submitting a report does not guarantee approval of a blocked request.
Warnings and graduated enforcement
A first violation may receive a formal content safety warning in the editing interface or from our team. Repeated violations may lead to temporary account suspension. Severe violations may lead to immediate permanent account termination and, where required by law, referral to the appropriate authorities. Actions depend on the circumstances, severity and history of the conduct and may be handled manually; these Terms do not promise a fixed automated strike count or suspension timetable.
FixImage may refuse a request, withhold delivery, remove content or restrict access to enforce these standards. Requests rejected before an AI edit starts are not charged credits. If results are blocked by our content safety checks, credits held for that attempt are released back to your balance. These credit releases do not change the purchase-refund rules above or any statutory consumer rights.
Optional AI prompt help
"Improve prompt with AI" is a free, optional feature with fair-use limits per person and per day. It only rewrites the description you entered; you remain responsible for the prompt you finally use. FixImage may change the limits or withdraw the feature at any time.
AI results are not guaranteed
AI edits depend on third-party AI model providers. FixImage does not guarantee that any specific prompt or image will produce a particular result, that an edit will always succeed, or that upstream providers will always be available. Output quality, style, and reliability can vary based on factors outside FixImage's control.
No warranty
FixImage is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. FixImage does not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that results will meet your expectations.
Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes FixImage's liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded — including your statutory rights as a consumer.
Subject to that, and to the maximum extent permitted by law, FixImage and its operators will not be liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, business, or data, arising from your use of the service. FixImage's total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid to FixImage in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK, you can also bring proceedings in your own part of the UK: in Scotland, the Scottish courts; in Northern Ireland, the Northern Irish courts. If you are a consumer living outside the UK, this choice of law does not remove any protection you have under the mandatory consumer laws of the country you live in.
Changes to these Terms
FixImage may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date, and continuing to use FixImage after an update means you accept the revised Terms. Each payment is assessed under the credit and refund terms in force on the day the payment was made.
